Gustavo Ayón Hernandez (Managua, 1994) is a young Spanish/Nicaraguan photographer who is distinguished for experimenting with different techniques within the photographic field, particularly with urban elements and debris.

Ayón studied photography at the Universidad Veritas in San Jose, Costa Rica and later moved to Madrid where he obtained his International Master's Degree in Contemporary Photography at EFTI.

This young photographer, who has lived in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, France and Spain, has exhibited his work as a group in different cultural halls in San Jose, Madrid and Barcelona. His photographs are in private collections in several countries, both in Central America and Europe

As of today, Ayón also leads “Atlas Chacuatl” which is an online platform on Instagram (@atlas.chacuatl) that serves as an archive and pinacothèque for the investigation of Nicaragua's visual culture.

Ayon currently resides in Barcelona where he has his photographic studio and independent editorial named Ala 70.
